I was raised Catholic and despite knowing all the answers to religion class questions, I actually didn’t have much “faith.” I had “knowledge.” Relationship with Jesus has taken a long time to develop deeply, probably because I kept Him in a little box marked “Sunday morning” for so long.
God worked through my now husband to show me that I was beloved and I was worthy of more than the world offered. God revealed our vocation and we got married in college. NFP really transformed our marriage a few years in, showing us what trust and surrender really mean. We have four amazing kids on earth and a sweet Beatrice we never got to meet. We also endured two miscarriages in the ‘23-24 winter.
I utilize my widespread interests and education degree to homeschool our kids.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is my jam, and my spirituality can be described as “Providence.” After decades of lukewarmness, I’m on fire for Jesus and the Church He founded.
I have never met a potato I didn’t like, I enjoy local coffeeshops and I also really like discussing personalities and temperaments. I’m trying to fake it til I make it in my garden. I’m a fan of board and card games. I, myself, don’t fit into any box.
I love using … and had to cut them heavily out of my writing of Magnify, but I know there are still many left because I write like I talk: with a million trains of thought screaming through my brain.
I’m Catholic through and through. Scott Hahn once used the term “tradmatic” and that’s me in a nutshell liturgically speaking — traditionalist charismatic!
